1-to-1 Chat
Buzzio 1-to-1 chat is private two-person messaging — end-to-end encrypted on your device, with delete-on-delivery on the relay, and readable history that stays on your phones. The same surface includes privacy tools: Secure View, Vanish, disappearing messages, once-view, pins, and kept messages.
Why 1-to-1 matters
This is the sealed lane. Servers move ciphertext for delivery, then remove it. When nothing is left undelivered, Buzzio is not designed to keep a durable “who privately talked to whom” graph for that chat.
How a message moves
- You encrypt on your phone before it leaves.
- The relay holds an encrypted envelope only long enough to deliver.
- Their device unlocks and saves it locally.
- The relay copy is deleted.
- Undelivered leftovers are safety-purged after about 3 days.
Privacy tools
Secure View
Mutual mode: both people agree to harden the chat against screenshots / screen recording while sensitive bubbles are on screen.
- Pending requests expire in about 2 hours.
- Android: strong OS-level capture block.
- iOS / web: platform limits apply — Buzzio detects and mitigates in-app where possible.
Use it when you want to share something private without leaving a casual screenshot trail.
Vanish mode
Short timers that start after the message is seen — from seconds up to hours (5s → 6h options). Mutual request / agree flow. Each message gets its own countdown once seen.
Disappearing messages
Chat-level timers: 24 hours · 7 days · 90 days. The countdown starts when you send (not when they read). Applies to text and media. Either side can turn it on.
Kept messages
When disappearing messages are on, kept messages let you exempt specific ones until you unkeep them — without creating a Buzzio-readable cloud transcript. History still lives on devices.
Once-view & view-once media
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Once-view mode | Chat-level: messages designed to leave about 5 seconds after seen, with stronger screenshot policy |
| View-once media | That photo / video / voice opens once, then is removed from the experience |
Pins
Shared pins are optional. Both sides can see the same pin for a set duration — a small shared exception for important messages, not a full cloud archive of your transcript.
Encrypted calls
Voice and video calls ride the same private surface: encrypted setup signaling, peer-to-peer media when networks allow, and no Buzzio call-recording archive. The call list you see lives on your device.
Everyday extras
Typing indicators, delivery / read receipts, reactions, reply / forward, and delete-for-everyone all fit the same private model. You can limit receipts and typing in settings. Block and report exist for safety — not for Buzzio to read your sealed chats.
Tips
- Pair Secure View with Vanish or once-view when the moment is especially sensitive.
- Use kept messages sparingly so disappearing chats stay disappearing.
- Optional encrypted backup is separate — default private history stays local.
