Groups
A Buzzio Group is one member chat room. At create time you choose how private it is and how long it lasts — and those choices cannot be switched later.
The two decisions
- History mode: E2E (sealed) or open-history (shared backscroll)
- Lifetime: permanent or temporary (up to 30 days)
E2E groups
- Sealed for members; Buzzio is not designed to read the transcript
- New joiners get future chat, not a full old archive
- Vanish can be set at create (E2E only)
- Best when secrecy matters more than late-joiner catch-up
Open-history groups
- Durable shared encrypted history so late joiners can scroll back
- Useful for clubs, classes, and projects
- Honest tradeoff: more continuity means more shared storage by design
Temporary rooms
Presets from about 1 hour to 30 days. When time is up, the room ends and is wiped from the usual path — ideal for events and short projects.
Other controls
- Up to about 500 members
- Invites via link or QR with optional password and approval
- Secure View available on both modes at create
- Roles: Super Admin, Admin, Member
- Options like admin-only send, hide member list, and pins
