Stories
Buzzio Stories are short-lived status posts — photo, video, text, or voice — that disappear after about 24 hours. They live on the Story tab (next to Call), not inside a private chat thread.
Use Stories to share a moment with contacts (or a chosen audience). Replies go into your normal 1-to-1 chat with that person.
Get started
- Open the Story tab in Buzzio.
- Tap My Stories / add (+) to post, or tap a colored ring under Recent updates to view someone else’s story.
- After posting, your story appears in your stack until it expires (or you remove it under normal story controls).
Create a story
From Add story you can:
- Text — text-only story with fonts / background colors
- Layout — multi-photo collage (up to 6 photos)
- Voice — voice note (up to 60 seconds)
- Pick from Recents / gallery, or use the camera / folder picker
After you choose media:
- Edit in the full-screen preview (crop, draw, text; trim video when offered).
- Add an optional caption.
- Optionally Tag people (up to 20 — tags do not put their name in the story text).
- Choose the audience.
- Post. Multiple selected items can go up as a stack (each item is its own story).
You can keep up to about 20 live stories in your stack at once. Viewers swipe between them.
Choose who can see it
Before you post, pick an audience (defaults can be saved):
| Audience | Who can see |
|---|---|
| My contacts | Mutual synced contacts |
| My contacts except… | Contacts minus people you exclude (max 100) |
| Only share with… | People you pick from synced contacts (max 100; at least one) |
| Everyone | Synced contacts plus people who find you by @username (you need a username) |
Important audience rules in plain language:
- Contact-style audiences need contact sync turned on.
- For contacts audiences, mutual save matters — they usually need you saved too.
- Everyone is wider discovery via username / profile rings; it does not blast strangers the same way contacts get story-ring updates.
- Tagging someone does not override privacy — they still need to be allowed by your audience.
View stories
On the Story tab:
- Recent updates — colored ring means new / unseen
- Viewed updates — already opened (often in a collapsible section)
- Tap a ring for the full-screen viewer
- Tap or swipe to move through that person’s stack
Media loads when you open the viewer. Re-opening can use what is already cached on your device until the story expires. Colored rings can also appear on profiles / username search when someone’s story is visible to you (especially with Everyone).
Opening a story usually counts as a view the author can see.
Replies and viewers
- There are no emoji “like” reactions on Stories.
- Use the bottom Reply… field to send a private message into your 1-to-1 chat with that person (as a story reply).
- As the author, you can see a view count and a Viewers list (“who viewed”).
Notifications
- New stories from people you follow in the Story tab typically update as a silent ring — not a banner that previews the photo or video.
- If someone tags you, you can get a visible alert like “{name} tagged you in a story.”
- The app does not keep re-notifying for views, replies, or expiry.
