These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on Buzzio’s shared and bot-enabled surfaces. They supplement our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If these Guidelines conflict with applicable law, the law controls.
1. Scope and purpose
These Guidelines apply to Open-history groups (OHG), Communities, Broadcast Channels, and Bots, including searchable service bots and worker bots installed in an OHG or Community. Worker bots do not operate in Broadcast Channels.
Buzzio is for lawful communication, collaboration, publishing, community building, support, and useful automation. You may debate difficult subjects, share opinions, organize lawful activities, and build services, provided you do not use Buzzio to facilitate harm or violate these Guidelines, our Terms, or applicable law.
Open-history groups, Communities, Broadcast Channels, and bot chats are not end-to-end encrypted. Buzzio may review retained content on these surfaces when investigating a report or otherwise acting lawfully. This does not mean we monitor every space or all private conversations. We do not proactively read end-to-end encrypted private chats, Whisper private sessions, E2E group message bodies, or private call media.
2. Responsibilities
Everyone is responsible for what they create, post, send, promote, or enable.
- Owners and creators must set lawful rules, choose trusted administrators, respond to credible reports, and remove prohibited content or participants promptly.
- Admins, superadmins, and moderators must apply rules consistently, use permissions responsibly, protect members, and not knowingly allow prohibited activity.
- Broadcast Channel admins are responsible for every post they publish and for how they operate the channel.
- Bot developers are responsible for their bot’s replies, webhooks, integrations, external links, and data practices. They must secure their systems and comply with the Bot Terms.
- Worker-bot installers and developers share responsibility for what the bot posts in an OHG or Community.
- Members and users must follow these Guidelines and report serious violations rather than encouraging, redistributing, or concealing them.
Owning or administering a space does not require perfect prevention, but ignoring known abuse, encouraging violations, or repeatedly failing to moderate may lead to action against the space and responsible accounts.
3. Prohibited activity and content
Do not use Buzzio to create, upload, request, sell, distribute, promote, coordinate, or meaningfully facilitate:
3.1 Illegal activity
Any activity, content, transaction, instruction, or service that is illegal where it occurs or where you operate, including attempts, solicitation, conspiracy, or assistance. Do not use Buzzio to evade lawful sanctions, court orders, or regulatory requirements.
3.2 Illegal drugs and controlled substances
The production, sale, purchase, delivery, or distribution of illegal drugs, unlawfully supplied prescription medicines, or controlled substances; or instructions designed to enable those transactions.
3.3 Child sexual abuse and exploitation
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualization or grooming of minors, sextortion, trafficking, solicitation, or any content that exploits or endangers a child. Never share such material, including to condemn it. Report it immediately through available reporting tools or to the appropriate authorities.
3.4 Terrorism, violent extremism, and credible threats
Praise, support, recruitment, fundraising, operational assistance, propaganda, or attack planning for terrorist or violent extremist organizations; credible threats of violence; incitement; or instructions intended to enable violent harm.
3.5 Hate, harassment, and abuse
Dehumanizing or hateful attacks against people based on protected characteristics; targeted harassment, stalking, intimidation, sustained unwanted sexual attention, or coordinated abuse. Criticism of ideas, institutions, conduct, or public policy is allowed when it does not become prohibited targeting or threats.
3.6 Sexual exploitation and non-consensual intimate content
Sexual exploitation, coercion, sextortion, trafficking, or sharing, threatening to share, or soliciting intimate imagery without the depicted person’s lawful consent. This includes altered or synthetic intimate content used to exploit, humiliate, or deceive.
3.7 Trafficking and dangerous goods
Human trafficking, forced labor, illegal weapons, explosives, stolen goods, counterfeit documents, or other unlawfully traded or inherently dangerous goods and services.
3.8 Scams, fraud, impersonation, and phishing
Deceptive schemes intended to steal money, accounts, credentials, personal information, or property; phishing; fraudulent investment or giveaway schemes; identity theft; or impersonating another person, organization, or Buzzio. Bots must not collect card numbers, UPI secrets, passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases in Buzzio chat.
3.9 Spam, malware, and manipulation
Unsolicited bulk messaging, repetitive promotions, malware, credential theft, malicious links, denial-of-service activity, artificial engagement, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or manipulation of reactions, polls, discovery, reports, or platform metrics.
3.10 Intellectual-property infringement
Content or activity that infringes copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, or other intellectual-property rights. Good-faith criticism, commentary, parody, quotation, and other lawful uses remain permitted. Copyright complaints may be sent to founder@buzzio.dev with the subject Copyright Complaint and the details required by our Terms.
3.11 Doxxing and privacy violations
Publishing, threatening to publish, or soliciting another person’s sensitive personal information without a lawful basis, especially when intended or likely to facilitate harassment, fraud, stalking, or physical harm.
3.12 Bot abuse, scraping, and restriction evasion
Bots, scripts, or integrations that scrape data without authorization, harvest users or content, overload the Service, bypass rate limits or permissions, evade suspensions or bans, rotate accounts to avoid enforcement, probe for unauthorized data, or otherwise defeat technical or safety restrictions.
4. Contextual exceptions
Good-faith educational, documentary, medical, scientific, journalistic, counterspeech, public-interest, or harm-reduction discussion may be allowed when context is clear and the content does not facilitate, celebrate, solicit, or materially increase the risk of harm.
Context is not a blanket exception. Use warnings where appropriate, minimize graphic or identifying detail, protect victims and minors, and do not provide operational instructions, transaction links, recruitment materials, or personal data that would enable abuse. Buzzio may still limit distribution or remove content when necessary for safety or law.
5. Reporting
Use Buzzio’s Report tools where available. Include the space or bot name, relevant message or post, date, reason, and any context that helps us assess the report. Reports from encrypted surfaces may include limited evidence submitted from the reporter’s device; Buzzio cannot independently read E2E message bodies.
For urgent danger, child exploitation, or an ongoing crime, contact local emergency services or the appropriate authority first. You may also email founder@buzzio.dev for safety reports, appeals, or copyright complaints. Do not submit CSAM by email or duplicate it as evidence.
We review reports in context, but we do not guarantee a specific result or response time. Knowingly false, abusive, or coordinated reports may themselves violate these Guidelines.
6. Enforcement
Depending on severity, context, history, technical availability, and legal obligations, Buzzio may:
- remove content or disable access to it;
- warn users or restrict features, posting, discovery, invitations, or participation;
- temporarily suspend or permanently ban accounts;
- restrict, hide, freeze, suspend, remove, or permanently ban an OHG, Community, or Broadcast Channel;
- reject, pause, disable, or delete a Bot;
- preserve evidence when legally required or reasonably necessary for a lawful investigation; and
- make reports to law enforcement or other authorities when required by law or appropriate to address serious harm.
Severe violations may result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warning. Examples include CSAM or child exploitation, credible threats or attack planning, terrorism support, human trafficking, illegal controlled-substance trafficking, and serious fraud or malware operations. Repeated violations, coordinated abuse, ban evasion, or attempts to conceal prohibited conduct may also result in permanent account and space-level bans.
Enforcement may affect owners, admins, moderators, members, worker-bot installers, and developers who commit, direct, knowingly enable, or repeatedly fail to address violations. We may act on reports, retained shared-surface content, public discovery, lawful notices, or other lawful evidence. We do not promise to detect every violation.
7. Appeals
If your account, space, channel, or bot is suspended, removed, or permanently banned, you may request reconsideration by emailing founder@buzzio.dev. Identify the affected account or space, the decision, and why you believe it was mistaken or what you have corrected.
Where practicable, a reviewer will consider the available evidence, context, proportionality, prior violations, and any new information. We may uphold, modify, or reverse a decision. Appeals must be made in good faith; repeated duplicate or abusive appeals may be closed. Any appeal rights required by applicable law remain available.
8. Applicable law and updates
You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, your content, your audience, and any goods, services, or bot integrations you offer. These Guidelines do not provide legal advice or replace stricter legal obligations.
We may update these Guidelines as products, risks, or laws change. The Last updated date will show the latest revision. Material changes may also be announced in-app or through official Buzzio channels where appropriate.
