Chat Lists

Chat lists help you filter the Chat tab: favorites, unread, and custom lists you create. Custom lists can have their own theme and notification tones.

Custom lists are a Premium perk. Favorites and unread stay available on free.

Get started

  1. Open Profile → Lists, or use the filters on the Chat tab.
  2. Star or mark chats as favorites.
  3. Open Unread to see chats with new messages.
  4. On Premium, tap create list, pick chats, and optionally set a theme and tone.

Use a custom list

  1. Open the list from Chat filters or Profile → Lists.
  2. Only chats you added appear there.
  3. You can still open the same chat from the main list.

Tips and limits

  • Custom lists do not move messages off your device — they are a view.
  • Dashboard pins are separate: free 3 pins, Premium 20.
  • If a chat is hidden or archived, it may not show in a list until you unhide or unarchive it.

Troubleshooting

I cannot create a custom list

Subscribe to Premium, then retry. Restore purchases if you already paid.

A chat is missing from a list

  • Confirm it was added to that list.
  • Check Archive and hidden chats.
  • Confirm you are on the correct multi-account identity.

Tones do not change

Custom list tones need notification permission. Check Profile → Notifications and that the chat is not muted globally.
