Buzzio Reactions

React to messages with emoji across chats, rooms, and broadcasts — a quick ack without another bubble. Surfaces differ honestly on which emoji set and what others see.

Introduction

Acknowledge without starting a new thread.

Reactions let you respond to a message with emoji — in 1:1 chats, groups, communities, and broadcast posts where the surface supports it. Community channels can gate who may react. We do not sell reaction data.

We do not sell reactions. Never. Not tallies. Not who reacted. Not broadcast engagement maps for ads.

Why Buzzio is best for reactions

Across surfaces

React in chats, rooms, and broadcasts — per-surface support as shipped in the app.

Fast ack

Long-press or tap the reaction control — no need to type “ok” into another bubble.

Broadcast tallies

On Broadcast Channels, followers use a fixed emoji set with anonymous tallies — not a public who-reacted dossier.

Role-aware rooms

Communities can limit who sends reactions per channel — same permission model as text and media.

Sealed chats still sealed

In private 1:1, reactions fit the same private messaging model as reply and delete — not a side channel for ads.

Honest gaps

Stories do not get emoji “like” reactions — we say so instead of faking engagement chrome.

What you get

  • Emoji reactions
  • Chats & rooms
  • Broadcast posts
  • Change or clear
  • Role gates
  • No ad sale

How it works

How to use

  1. Open a supported chat

Reactions appear where the surface supports them — 1:1, groups, communities, or broadcast feeds.

  2. React

Long-press a message (or use the reaction control) and pick an emoji.

  3. Change it

Pick a different emoji or clear your reaction — tallies update on that message or post.

  4. Check permissions

In Communities, roles may block reactions on some channels — ask an admin if the picker is missing.

Where it works

Support follows the product surface. Private chats and many rooms show reactions on message bubbles. Broadcast Channels let followers react to posts. Community channels may require a react permission. Always check the in-app UI for the chat you are in — not every historical surface ships every control on day one.

Broadcast tallies

On Broadcast Channels, reactions use a fixed set (thumbs up, heart, laugh, surprise, sad, pray). One reaction per user per post; changing it updates the tally. Engagement is aggregate — not a public list of every follower who reacted.

Followers engage with reactions and polls — not comment threads.

Boundaries

Reactions vs Stories

Message / post reactions

  • Emoji on chats, rooms, broadcasts
  • Per-surface picker and rules
  • Broadcast: fixed set + tallies

Stories

  • No emoji “like” reactions
  • View / Stealth Stories is a different perk
  • Do not expect a heart bar on Stories

What reactions do not mean

They are not a substitute for a reply when you need words. They are not available on every surface the same way. Broadcast does not expose a public who-reacted roster. And reaction integrity data may be stored on shared surfaces so tallies and anti-spam can work — still not sold.

Tips

  • Use reactions for lightweight acks; reply when nuance matters
  • On Broadcast, expect anonymous tallies — not a fan list
  • In Communities, check channel permissions if react is missing
  • Pair with polls when you need a clear vote, not just emoji
