Introduction
Ask the room — see the tally where you already chat.
Polls let people choose among options inside Buzzio. Use them in supported chats, groups, communities, and Broadcast posts. Shared surfaces store what the poll needs so voting and tallies work — and we still do not sell that data.
We do not sell poll votes. Never. Not option tallies for ads. Not voter lists for brokers.
Why Buzzio is best for polls
In-thread decisions
Create and vote where the conversation already lives — no external form for a simple choice.
Multiple surfaces
Chats, groups, communities, and broadcast posts — as shipped for each surface.
Broadcast aggregates
Channel polls show option totals — not a public list of who voted for which choice.
Admin compose
On Broadcast Channels, admins can post polls (up to four options) for followers to vote.
Honest shared model
Shared rooms store poll payloads so late joiners and multi- device history can work — labeled not E2E on those surfaces.
Pairs with reactions
Use reactions for quick emoji; use polls when you need a clear counted choice.
What you get
- Create polls
- Vote in-thread
- Option tallies
- Chats & rooms
- Broadcast polls
- No vote sale
How it works
How to use
Open a supported surface
Start in a chat, group, community channel, or Broadcast compose where polls are available.
Create the poll
Add a question and options from the composer / attach flow as shipped for that surface.
Send and vote
Members or followers pick an option. Tallies update as votes come in.
Read the result
Use the option counts to decide — Broadcast keeps results aggregate, not a public voter roll.
Where it works
Polls ship on supported messaging surfaces — including shared rooms and channels. Exact composer entry points follow the in-app UI for that chat type. If a surface does not offer create-poll yet, use reactions or a short text vote instead of assuming every room is identical.
Broadcast polls
Broadcast Channel admins can attach polls to posts (typically up to four options). Followers vote if they follow the channel. Results show aggregate option counts — engagement without turning the feed into a comment thread.
Admins post. Followers react and vote — they do not flood the channel with replies.
Boundaries
Privacy strip
What we keep for the feature
- Poll question / options as needed
- Integrity records for tallies & anti-spam
- Shared-room history rules for that surface
What we do not do
- Sell votes or tallies
- Publish Broadcast voter identity lists
- Pretend shared polls are sealed E2E
What polls do not mean
They are not a formal election system. Option limits and UX differ by surface. Broadcast poll privacy is aggregate counts, not sealed ballots. Shared rooms store content so the product works — that is not the same privacy story as sealed 1:1 ciphertext.
Tips
- Keep options short and mutually exclusive
- Use Broadcast polls for audience questions without comments
- Use reactions when a tally of choices is overkill
- Check who can compose before expecting members to create polls
